Reign in Blood, released in , is simply a classic album from the American thrash metallers Slayer - it is in the same league with its predecessor Hell Awaits. The guitar riffs on this album from Kerry King and the late Jeff Hanneman are just outstanding, just like their guitar work on Hell Awaits; Dave Lombardo's drum work is excellent /5(K).

Widely considered the pinnacle of speed metal, Reign in Blood is Slayer's undisputed masterpiece, a brief (under half an hour) but relentless onslaught that instantly obliterates anything in its path and clears out just as quickly. To say thank you they covered Necrophobic on ’s Covered In Blood album, a hardcore tribute album to Slayer, and turned it into a circle pit starting bruiser of a song.
